We are ensuring a sustainable New South Wales through climate change and energy action, water management, and environment and heritage conservation and protection.

Who we are

Environment and Heritage is part of the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water.

Volunteers are scattered around the bushland, wearing wide hats, protective gear and yellow shirts. The lush greenery of the trees envelops the image along with old and sturdy brown trees which are of various sizes and thicknesses across the image.

We’re committed to open access. Much of our information is freely available through our website, libraries, offices and public registers.
