• The Australian Network for Plant Conservation resource directory offers over 200 links to information on threatened plant species, biodiversity, ecology and related events and organisations.
• Visit the Australian Plants Society to learn about native plants to replace weeds.
• Flora for Fauna shows you how to attract native fauna to your garden by using native plants.
• The Australian Plant Name Index gives published names of all Australian vascular plants with distributions.
• The Centre for Plant Biodiversity Research website has information on conservation, management and use of Australian flora.
• The Flora of Australia is an important series of publications from the Department of Environment and Heritage's Australian Biological Resources Study.
• Poaceae in Australia provides descriptions and information on grasses.
• FloraBase is run by the Western Australia Herbarium/Department of Conservation and Land Management. It gives plant names, maps, images and descriptions.
• E-flora South Australia contains a plant census of SA, on-line key to SA acacias, plant distributions, fact sheets and more.

International botany sites

• The Internet Directory for Botany is a very complete site, with thousands of links to all types of botanical information including images, databases, checklists, floras, collections, plant family info, etc.
• The New Zealand Plants database offers taxonomy and distributions.
• The Gymnosperm Database has over 1000 species and lots of information.
• The Germplasm Resources Information Network Taxonomy contains over 37,000 species with distribution and information (not available on Mondays from Australia).
• W3 Tropicos is a vast database of images, habitats, plant name information and other botanical references.
• The Poisonous Plants Database, from Cornell University, includes good links.
