Tucki Tucki Nature Reserve was originally reserved as a fauna reserve in 1963 to protect habitat in the area. Prior to the reserve’s gazettal, local residents planted over 4 hectares of land on and adjacent to the reserve with a variety of trees to provide food and shelter for the district’s diminishing koala population.
