This document is the pest management strategy for the Far West Region, which covers parks and reserves spread over more than one-third of NSW. It borders Queensland, South Australia and Victoria and includes the towns of Walgett in the north, Bourke and Broken Hill in the west and Balranald in the south.
Kinchega National Park is located 113 kilometres south-east of Broken Hill adjacent to the town of Menindee. It covers 44,182 hectares extending southwards from Menindee for 62 kilometres along the Darling River.
Kinchega National Park was once a large pastoral station in western NSW, and the park has a wealth of pastoral heritage. This conservation management and cultural tourism plan provides conservation, management and interpretation guidance for the former Kinchega Station sites within the park.
