The intention of the plan is to inform land and water management, and to guide strategies, projects and tasks for restoring and maintaining critical ecological functions and habitats in the Macquarie Marshes.
The Macquarie Marshes Nature Reserve protects part of the Macquarie Marshes wetland which is situated in the central part of northern NSW on the Macquarie River, approximately 100km north of Warren.
