The area known as the ‘Budawangs’ is located in the southern part of Morton National Park, west of the town of Ulladulla and south of the Braidwood Road. Most of the area lies within the declared Budawang Wilderness, which extends into the adjacent Budawang National Park. Wilderness declaration requires the area to be managed to protect its wilderness values, including its substantially unmodified state and provision of opportunities for solitude and self-reliant recreation.
This document is the pest management strategy for the South Coast Region, which stretches from Stanwell Park in the north to Batemans Bay in the south, and west of Goulburn along the tablelands.
Morton and Budawang National Parks are located on the rugged eastern escarpment of the Southern Tablelands between Bundanoon and Braidwood. They have a combined area of 194,193 hectares.
